Place the turntable on a stable, level surface away from speakers
ContextVibration is the enemy of analog playback. A dedicated shelf, wall-mounted bracket, or isolation platform (such as a Sorbothane-based pad) dramatically reduces acoustic feedback. Avoid placing the turntable on top of your amplifier — heat and electromagnetic interference from the amplifier's transformer can introduce audible hum. Use a spirit level to confirm the turntable sits flat; even a 1–2 degree tilt affects tonearm geometry and can cause one channel to track with heavier pressure than the other.
